    If we break down the employment of graphic designers by industry, we see something interesting: In 2016, 21.16% of graphic designers worked for specialized design service providers, which include graphic design companies. More than 4% worked in one of the following areas: advertising and PR, printing and related support and for publishers for newspapers, magazines and books. Almost 3% worked in other production areas, such as in-house packaging design. Around half a percent worked in the area of ​​computer systems design and similar services. And less than 0.1% worked in various other areas, including government agencies, legal advice, and wireless communications providers.
